UI/UX Designer and Product Aesthetics Intern
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, creative, talented and skilled UI/UX Designer intern Product Aesthetics to join our Product Design and Aesthetics department and provide creative ideas and Stunning design works to help achieve specific product goals. We currently build software for the aviation industry on both the B2B and B2C consumer categories.
You will also be working at times with the president of the company who plays a large part in the designing of the company's various software products. You will have real hands-on working with many aspects of our products on the design and aesthetics, as well as a deep understanding of our unique clientele.
We are looking for someone who is very meticulous, creative, detail-oriented, picky about design down to the minute detail, willing to learn new things, seeks out the new and improved and someone who is not afraid to fail and make competent mistakes. Someone who believes that there is no proverbial "box" to begin with so never has to be asked to βthink outside of the boxβ.
You must be prepared to work with very bright and creative individuals who believe in a vision and who see themselves as a family who believe that truth, integrity and personal wellbeing comes first and that the vision of the company is most important in their professional lives.
Responsibilities
This internship has no set salary, it offers other forms of compensation, such as training, experience building, and possible commission and/or bonuses.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with product management to derive and define user design and aesthetics requirements for company products
- Develop high level and detailed user flow diagrams, wireframes, storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate design and aesthetic concepts to teams.
- Work with developers to ensure accurate implementation of the designs into company products
- help with the writing of User Guide, Release Notes, and other documentation
- Translate usability test results and other user research into product design improvements
- Learn new standards and practices as they are implemented by the company
- Takes part in meeting for brainstorms and design discovery for projects
- Share responsibilities such as app architecture/design reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, and build pipeline management
- Own and deliver all your tasks, small must-do tasks to larger, complex projects with many moving parts
- Share your opinions and help shape our technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes. Your input is most valuable.
- Pursuing or a recent graduate of a BA Degree in Web Design, UX/UI Design or similar
- Knowledge of principles and process of UX/UI design specific to website applications and mobile applications
- Understanding of responsive web and mobile applications design
- Ability to work in Sketch, InVision, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe xD.
- Understanding the resolution and sizing that is needed for projects for all devices/mediums
- Drive design esthetic for designs (with direction from Product Teams and Esthetics Department)
- Create designs from scratch or making updates to existing designs that can be used for products deliverables
- Willing to give and take feedback
